Merry, merry
Which as usual we spent at my God parents eating lots of yummy things and exchanging gifts. But it only really felt like Christmas until the eve which was rather unusual because I feel Christmassy about the week before but I think maybe because I was rather ill before that I just wasn’t in the mood.
But Christmas day we all slept quite late, ate quite late and staying up quite late! We only ate late because the Head Chef in the house forgot to put the beef in the oven- I think maybe because of all the festive cheer J my brothers God parents came round in the afternoon to swap presents which was great fun!
But Santa brought all the right presents (Which I know is rather hard when you’re at the age when you have KNOW CLUE WHAT YOU WANT?!)
Thank- you for all the lovely presents and a lovely lovely day with a little over eating and giggling a little too much!
A few of my favourite things right now (while not getting properly dressed this week)

The tree is up- FINALLY!
The trees only went up this weekend because I was really ill last weekend with a flu/cold thing. But because of having my nose done the doctor made it VERY CLEAR that I can’t get infection because it could break my septum?! So none of us did much this weekend which was rather sad because everyone else in the street has there’s up and they all look lovely :)
The one in the front window is the traditional fake one with white lights and the red and gold colour balbues with lots of memories in all the other decorations. The other one in the back room is a lovely real one- it was huge! We had to cut about 8inches off the top hehe
9 Dec 2008
On the 9th day of Christmas my true love gave to me...
I started to make button earrings in summer 2006 and I haven’t really stopped since. I love making them all because they are all really unique and usually made for the special people in my life. But last summer I started making bracelets using buttons but now I’m making them with dominoes, ring pulls from cans and beads. The brooches I have made I think are my favourite, they are just so cute and they can make any plain top look great!
I haven’t really set prices yet for most of them, however I’m thinking about £3-4 for all the earrings plus postage and about £8-9 for the bracelets and a little more the necklaces.
My page is called http://ooh-and-aah.deviantart.com/ Hopefully there will be more going up and when I learn how to use it will look better !
(This is my favourite brooch using 6 buttons)
This morning I went to the hospital and had my cast taken off my nose. Although the BIG reveal was a little disappointing at first. After a few hours I actually really like it. It’s a little pointer at the tip but to be honest it’s much better than I ever thought it was going to look like- which is always good :) Pictures will be coming soon but its just the swelling that needs to go down and the redness from the plaster need to go and then- the WHOLE world can see my new nose :)

December Already?
But let’s not think about how I never manage getting round to doing anything productive large or small!
There wasn’t much I can remember about September apart from the fact I started college! Which now I’ve been there for 4 months I really really like it! Just how it’s so much relaxed and productive compared to school and you can walk in and out whenever you want and wear whatever you and basically do what you want- all in the name of art of course! :)
What we have been doing is actually great fun! So far!! We’ve been on lots of trips already which is great because everyone complains about how few trips there are at schools and when you go on them there always educational and dull! But these are fun fun trips!!
Although it happened REALLY quickly, so quickly that I forgot to tell some people- WHOOPS! but I had my nose done- yes as in plastic surgery! But it really did need doing!! It was wonky and I couldn’t breath through it- yes very sad indeed- especially when you cannot do sport well because you have to breathe through your mouth :( But on the 28th November all my problems had melted away! Even now after few days I can see the difference even though there is still a plaster cast on it and a bit of bruising, though not as much as the doctors told me there would be- but they do prepare you for the worst! The cast comes off hopefully on Tuesday next week and I’ll be able to see my nose even though I imaging there will still be bruising and swelling around it!
We break up from college on the 13th but because of my nose and having to recover and all that jazz I’m off now until after Christmas- which is in 21 days and 11 hours! and I have done no shopping for anything cards or presents! I usually go shopping with my god parents each year getting up really early to get to Laskside just as it opens and having pancakes and syrup in McDonalds and shopping until we practically drop! Its and tradition :)
But from now I will get around to blogging more and doing more industrious things in my time- Auf Wiedersehen!

After 175 revision cards, 96 posters, 52 sheets of information, 30 pod casts, 10 revision books and 5 years of dreaded school...
But I managed to get 5 As, 6 Cs and 2 Ds. Which for me if FABULOUS!!!
Now I am finally an Art Student!!! Woop! I cant wait for the 1st September- but it's not to far away!
Well done for everyone else for managing to finally finish school!

We’re all going on a summer holiday...
Wales was fun. We went to a few place, saw a few things but I brought a fab skirt from Next from £30 to £4- BARGAIN!!! But in the nights of procrastination on Llandudno pier, I won my first two prises on the slot machines- woop! I only used 50p and it lasted a life time but they are only M&M key rings, which are now on my house keys. So when it got to Friday we left Wales and journeyed north to Glasgow.
Apart from the fact it rained and rained then rained a bit more it was really fun in Scotland. We stayed in Glasgow for a day then went to Edinburgh to see Nicholas and to the festival. On the first day the 3 of us went to Sea World. It was really cool to see Nemos and sharks and piranhas! There was a glass tunnel which all around were different schools of fish, rays and gigantic sharks and we didn’t go around 3 times...much- hehe! the 3 of us went to a show called ‘Somewhere Over The Westway” which was A bling-tastic, modern-day urban punk panto version of 'The Wizard of Oz' which was actually hilarious! Mum and I on the last day there before we went home went to see “Oh! What a lovely war” which was ASTOUNDING! because they were only young- 14-18years and some were rather cute too :D
There were the normal acts on the streets doing magic and tricks but one man we saw was very good, on a unicycle kicked a saucer, mug and spoon from his foot to his head (he did do a bit more) and 2 people were doing some amazing magic- personally myself I am astonished by magic and if you can do it I'll be yours for the taking! But the energy of the atmosphere was soo great I do want to work there next year! and maybe someday live there :D
(People trying to get your attention with flyers)
(These were great musicians, they were messing about playing on one leg but making some fab faces too- the womans still makes me chuckle)
Today mum and I picked and stewed plums from the tree in the garden. It was really fun because it felt like summer then you step in a squashed plum on the floor and then it’s not much fun after all. But we think we picked about 10kg from that little tree at the bottom of the garden and tommrow we’ll make apple crumble- woop!
However the 21st is getting closer and closer and I’m getting more nervous by the day- I don’t like it!!! But WELL DONE to Michael who did really well on his A level results and watch out Birmingham he’s coming!! :D

Levers Ball and Prise Giving
Mum and I wore hired dresses which look fabulous and dad wore his dinner jacket and suit. I was rather worried that I would be the only one in a long dress but I wasn’t and everyone else looked gorgeous- even the boys hehe
On arrival we had our photos taken by the school photographer with our parents. (Ours was lovely so we bought it) There was a set menu which I wasn’t sure about because I didn’t really like the sound of any of it but there was Melon or prawn salad for started which I had the prawns , beef wellington or chicken wrapped in bacon and apple sauce and I had the chicken and lemon torte for dessert.
We were sat in tables of 10 people (yet ours was only 9) which was great fun because the wine went to quick. (Though a lot was spilt over people, the table and the floor) There was a characteratures who drew some super pictures of us and they all looked amazing because she did them so quickly.
Obviously we danced but during dinner there was 2 wonderful male singers and then when we started danced they sang some great songs and they sounded so good. After 10.30 the DJ started (who was rather cute) and he played decent music some classics, some cheeses and recent, something for everyone and it was great fun seeing some of our teachers dancing and being like “normal” people not just “teachers”.
It finished a 1am but we didn’t leave until 1:30 because there was lots of hugs and kisses at the end which was nice because I know deep down despite the fact that I won’t like it that I probably won’t see everyone all together again.
But on the lighter note Senior Prise Giving was yesterday which at first I was really apprehensive about but in the end it was really good evening. This year they did things rather differently; there were minor and full prefects and 2 Vice Heads instead of 1 vice and 1 head. I’m personally really happy with the 3 people they chose this year and I give them all the best for the next year.
But I did receive the DT prise and Service prise which I’m quite proud of, the prise is a £10 book token and I still have 1 from last year which I still haven’t spent (we can’t remember where the other one went because I don’t remember buying a book) so I’m planning on buying a few driving text books or a design book for college next year- both vitally useful in my eyes hehe

Rainforest Cafe adventure
So my very lovely Godmother took me to London for the day. I didn’t know where I was going however mum and dad did. We got to London about 1.30 and had a wander around Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, The Trocadero, we went into Hamleys and played with a lot of bears and other toys (What I wouldn’t do to be a child again and not have to leave school!)
But after all that guessing of where we were going to eat, we finally got to The Rainforest Cafe. On the top floor is a shop full of cuddly toys and other jungle and rainforest animal things but walking down the stairs was this totally amazing atmosphere of a restaurant. We had to wait for 20 minutes (which turned into 40, though we could see 2 tables of 2 seats with nobody sitting at them but we didn’t say anything) But once we sat down and I ordered a bowl of pasta (stupidly small) and for dessert I had panna cotta which was lovely!
Around the restaurant were all these movable animals of the rainforest and we were sat right next to the elephant and about 5 meters away from the gorilla, and every 30minutes there was a thunder storm and rain (just the sounds thankfully) but with strobe lighting but luckily we were away from the lights.

London
The Tate Modern exhibition was really good ‘Street & Studio’ there were some odd pieces and some amazing! We went to some other showings there which were good too.
We walked along Embankment, which was kind of cool because it was a clear day and the glass buildings looked incredible. There’s this seriously cool place under some steps that skateboarders and BMXs ride. They are really talented and really cool to watch them.
We went into Covent Garden where there was a hilarious man juggling which 7 balls, an apple which 4 machetes also the very high unicycle- which was amazing.
Next to our restraint was a man making a lion, I think? in the sand. It was really cool because it’s just sand!!

Long wait until 21st August
But from today I have two and-a-bit months to do nothing! Well I do need to get a job because I will become very board otherwise. But I plan on going to my Granny’s in Scotland and seeing friends but today I threw out all my revision notes, all my books from year 7 ,8 and 9 (I thought I would keep 10 and 11- I filled 3 recycling bags :S), a very productive day me thinks :D
(The piles did become bigger)

3 is the magic number
Maths wasn’t too bad, but to be quite frank I don’t really care about it- yes I know that I will need maths when paying bills and things when I’m older but you really don’t need to know to do Quadratic equations and when will Trigonometry ever come up in everyday life?- All valid question in my eyes!

2000- 2008
We have random traditions at Gad’s like going on to the roof and writing our names in the lead. There were loads of names yet there seemed to be loads of space left. It was cool to find people who I remembered and the find people from 1943!
We all signed out shirts like most schools which was fun so in years to come ill remember people and remember people drawing genitals on my top- thanks for the memories- teehee
Though we do have Prise Giving at the end of year which I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to. It will be sad and it will officially be the end of Gad’s!
I really hope that we all keep in touch and see each other again! I’ve met and made friends with some amazing people and it will be sad not to see them each day.
You cant really see it but my name is there... promise!

Radio One Big Weekend!!!
Scouting for Girls, The Feeling, and The Hoosiers we the best! We were stood in behind some (slightly drunk) boys when The Feeling was on and they were somewhat hilarious! Madonna was really good- I don’t really like her music but I strangely like ‘4 minutes’- but hey hoe!
But the thing is I'm not the tallest person in the world and I couldn't see half the time!- though my friend dreary picked my up a little- THANKS :D
It was really hot too and we both got a tan which is a bonus! They had these tag thingies which around your neck with the line up and loads of advertisement and guess how much they cost? - £6!!! So I didn’t get one :(
28 Apr 2008
4 Down, 3 To Go!
I read the first one just after the fifth film came out last year and I want to finish them all before the last film is released in the cinema,- May 2011 apparently?!
If you haven’t read them- DO! I LOVE THEM!!!

The non- Easter holidays!
Seriously procrastination really kills motivation to revise! I decide to paint my IKEA box draw (isn’t the plywood so ugly- yuck!) But now its looks really lovely! It matches my room!!
Well on the 6th (I remember it for some reason) it snowed! & on the 6th it went :( but mum and I went to Shorne Country Park with her camera to have lots of fun and take lots of picture! When we got there, there wasn’t a card in it –Nooo! So instead of taking lots of pictures we just lots of snow ball fights and making snow angles. But we decide to go home and come back with the card in the camera because the snow looked so pretty! I made a snow man which if I do say so myself looked f-a-b-l-o-u-s!
Mum and I went to Brighton with “The Family” on Saturday which was a lot of fun, we went on the horse carousel, ate candy floss, and went on the penny falls and the ladies paddled in the freezing cold sea! But men being men didn’t take a picture just ate there ice creams :( && we had our photo taken in old fashion clothes with an old fashion camera!! Which everyone was dredging apart from me and Judith! But there coming on Saturday which I really excited about!
I have been in school all this week doing DT coursework which looks okay but I would have thought I would have done better. But I went in today and got some card and my graphics to re-make my box.
Now I must carry on with revising!

Easter Holidays- Yay!
23 Mar 2008
I'm dreaming of a white Easter
1. Bacon sandwiches for breakfast
2. Jenga competition
3. Making towers out of our eggs
4. Having an egg hunt around the garden
5. Going to Shorne Country Park
.... but this year it was a bit of different dad woke me up at 8:45 and out of my window was SNOW! We were promised snow but have been for a few weeks- and we didn’t get it L so I just ignored the weather man!So like usual we wrapped up and went to Shorne Country Park but unlike last year it was very quiet. I jumped in all the puddles; we had snow ball fights and got kind of cold!!!
There was a man who kept running around and the first time we saw him we just let him threw and left him to it, but when we saw him the second time, he wasn’t a stranger anymore so I was going to wish him a HAPPY EASTER!- he ran past me but when we were walking up a hill he was coming down so I decided to say it, he looked at me rather strangely- cant think why!?
We had our normal jenga but I lost but it was very high!! We did have our egg hunt but in the house, it was really hard! Dad hid the cream eggs very well- which made it a lot funnier :D
So Happy Easter to everyone!
This was Easter last year- it was sunny and hot...
This was Easter this year- it was cold!
21 Feb 2008
Bonjour!
When we got there we went on the metro, which was quite cramped but then a little old random man came on and started to play the accordion, I thought he was really funny because he kept smiling at everyone, have you ever seen that in London?
Notre Dame which was beautiful, I never actually realised there was gargoyles on the roof :O We went to a cute little cafe just of Notre Dame and we had cholât chaud and creps which were lovely!
The Eiffle Tower was amazing, we went right up to the top which Oh my! It was very high!!!
We then went to the Louvre and walked for quite a way but saw some really awesome things! But what I didn’t like was the FLIPPING traffic it didn’t stop! The traffic lights never changed, there weren’t buttons to press to show that you were waiting to cross, zebra crossings might as well not be there and indicators on cars- forgot them!!!
26 Jan 2008
We now have a very dented bin!
My ear is seriously purple all the way around the top and it is triple the size it should be. I have a golf ball on the back of my head which is so painful because I cant sleep or sit up. I HAVE BEEN UP SINCE 5:40- AAAARGH!!! But since then i have found parts of my anatomy which also hurts, my ribs, both elbows, my neck and strangely my little toe?!
BUT on a brighter note- I got into KIAD/ UCCA. For those people who don't know what it is- its only like the best art college in England, i love it there plus, there is really cute guys there :P
I really cant wait until i get there and i made a friend who also got in- which is also good because now i kinda know someone when i get there in September- YAY!
13 Jan 2008
School
And talking of DT- if you knew I was having an interview with North West Kent College, well I got in- YAY! And when I got home there was a shiny new letter addressed to me from Rochester, it was from KIAD/ UCCA asking me to come for an interview on the 24th January! DOUBLE YAY!
I'm now doing french coursework 'Mon Enseignement' - which is so much fun when 'YOU CANT SPEAK A WORD OF FRENCH!!!' But my English coursework was good C+ and for me that's good- OH YEAR!! :D
Good Luck to everyone else for getting into 6th forms and colleges for next year.
